DAVENPORT — Roger D. Dengler, 61, of Davenport passed away Feb. 28, 2017, at Genesis Medical Center-East Rusholme Street, Davenport. A burial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 3, at the Davenport Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family.
Roger was born Sept. 22, 1955, in Davenport, a son of Edwin and Bonetta Dengler. He graduated from Davenport West High School in 1973 and was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years, retiring in 2010. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, boating and lawn care and was an avid Hawkeye fan.
Survivors include his children, Carri Lynne (Gabriel) Rios, Elizabeth Ann (Arturo) Mendoza, Lucas Graham Dengler; grandchildren, Austin and Aubrey Rios, Arturo and Ema Mendoza; siblings, Marlene DeSchepper, Sandra (Wes) Moeller, Shirley (Paul) Schaab, Eugene (Georgianna) Dengler, Ken (Lynn) Dengler and Debbie (Dan) Dooley.
