In 1959 in South Bend, Tommie was united in marriage to Maryann Maeyens who survives. Tommie and Maryann have enjoyed 57 wonderful years of marriage.
He retired as owner and operator of Tom Davis Concrete Contractor, and following retirement worked at South Bend Country Club. He proudly served his country in the United States Army/National Guard. He enjoyed making things with wood, loved to work in the garden and raise flowers, and enjoyed golfing and reading. He was a big fan of Notre Dame football, and in 2012 he was able to travel to Ireland and attend the Shamrock game in Dublin, Ireland. He also enjoyed attending the South Bend Cubs baseball games.
Besides his wife Maryann, Tommie is survived by a good friend, Jim Coyle of South Bend, along with three nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Kelly Jean and Christina, and his brother Robert Davis.
Maryann wishes to express her sincere thanks to all the doctors, nurses, and medical staff who took such wonderful care of Tommie, especially to Dr. McGrath for all that he did for us.
