John James LaPietra passed away as a result from a sudden heart attack on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at age 51.

John was born December 29, 1965 in Rochester, New York and moved to Huntsville, Alabama in 2003. He worked as an IT technician and was a talented and gifted bass guitarist.

John is survived by his three sons Aiden, Ethan and Nathan; their mother Adria LaPietra; by his father and mother Arthur Richard and Teresa LaPietra; his fiancé Sabrina Roberson; his two brothers Arthur David LaPietra and James LaPietra; his three sisters Catherine (Curtis) Tucker, Elaine Wyse, and Michele (Daniel) Viola; several nieces and nephews and very close friends.

In lieu of flowers, if you would like to donate to his children's education fund

Madison Chapel Funeral Home will host a gathering of family and friends at 8521 Hwy 72 W, Madison, AL 35758 this Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 1-4pm with a celebration of life ceremony from 3:30-4pm.

Huntsville, AL: Passed away as a result of cardiac arrest on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at age 51. John was born December 29, 1965 in Rochester and grew up in Hilton. He moved to Huntsville, AL in 2003 to continue his career as an IT technician. Growing up, John was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman.

He had a passion for cars, photography, computers and mechanical problem-solving. He was a life-long musician and very talented bass guitarist. His greatest joy was sharing his knowledge of all he knew and loved with his boys. John is survived by his three sons Aiden, Ethan and Nathan; by his father and mother Arthur R. and Teresa (Mazza) LaPietra; his two brothers Arthur D. LaPietra and James LaPietra; his three sisters Catherine (Curtis) Tucker, Elaine Wyse, and Michele (Daniel) Viola; several nieces, nephews and very close friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 25th at Greece Assembly of God, 750 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14612. The family will receive friends from 11-12PM with service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Greece Assembly of God.
