Carolyn Louise Edmonds was born on January 9, 1937, at the family farm outside of Marland, Oklahoma to Clifford and Viola Edmonds. She grew up on the farm with five siblings. She went to school in Marland, where she graduated from high school with the class of 1955, as the class valedictorian. She was very athletic, and also enjoyed working on the farm from a very early age. After high school, she attended Tonkawa College for one year. She was married on June 3, 1956, in Marland to her high school sweetheart John Reisch. Her husband was drafted and stationed in Hawaii; and they spent a wonderful year near Sunset Beach.

After the military, they settled down in Ponca City, Oklahoma, where they welcomed two children into their home: Lei Lani in October of 1962, and Rebecca in June of 1965. On December 4, 1966, Carolyn was in a plane crash and lost the love of her life. She was in the hospital for two and a half months learning to walk again. Carolyn remarried the second love of her life, Norman Myers, on October 28, 1970, in Ponca City, which added three more children to the family. In 1973, Norm and Carolyn moved their family to Buffalo because they loved small towns and the area. They continued living in Buffalo until her death.

In addition to raising her family Carolyn was an active and dedicated member of Summit Wesleyan Church. Carolyn was devoted to her Lord and Savior throughout her entire life. She was a generous individual who loved camping, fishing, boating, knitting, quilting, gardening, canning, baking, cooking, reading, but her passion was her family. She truly loved all her fifteen grandchildren and two and a half great-grandchildren. Her children remember her as a kind, gentle, patient mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. She was always very supportive in all that they did.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Norman Myers, of Buffalo; two daughters, Lei Lani Baxter and her husband Dennis of Sheridan, Wyoming, and Rebecca Wolf of Buffalo; two step-daughters, Janie Bell and her husband Jim of Sidney, Montana, and Tammy Garfield of Ham Lake, Minnesota; one step son, Alan Myers and his wife Cyndi of Scottsburg, Indiana; three sisters, Polly Eaton and her husband Farrell of Marland, Oklahoma, Freda Harris and her husband Jim of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Cathy Yount and her husband Bill of Moore, Oklahoma; one brother Charles Edmonds and his wife Karen of Marland, Oklahoma; fifteen grandchildren and two and a half great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and her older sister, Alene Corbin.
