Wife of John Henry Hemmelgarn. Daughter of Henry and Dorothy (Rosengarten) Kothman. Mother of Herman H. (Leona) and Raymond J. (Dorothy).

Chattanooga Woman Dies Wednesday
Mrs. Mary Hemmelgarn of Chatanooga died at 6:15 p.m. yesterday in Our Lady of Mercy Hospital, Coldwater. She had been in for the past year and a half.
She lived in Chattanooga for the past 13 years, and was a previous resident of St. Henry. She was born to Henry Kothman and former Margaret Rosengarten Cassella September 16, 1891. 1908 she married John Hemmelgarn. He died in 1911.
Two sons, Raymond of Chatanooga and Herman of St. Henry survive. Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Theresia Hemmelgarn of St. Henry and Mrs. Frances Billerman of Coldwater, a brother, Peter Kothman of Troy and two grandchildren. A sister and a brother are deceased.
Mrs. Hemmelgarn was a member of the Christian Mothers (?)dality, the Daughters of lsabelle of St. Henry and the Altar Society of St. Marys Parish in Geneva Ind.
Her funeral Mass will be 9 a.m. Saturday morning in the St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial will in the church cemetery.
Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry is in charge of the arrangements. Friends may call there after 7 p.m. today.
