97, of Hazelwood, died Feb. 24, 2017 at home. Alma was born Sept. 28, 1919 in Lamar, CO to E.A. and Callie B. (Owen) Sharer. She was a 1938 graduate of Amo High School. Alma married Calvin E. Wells, Jr. Dec. 14, 1938, he preceded her in death June 12, 1995. She had been an active member in the Hazelwood Baptist Church since 1937, active in her community, as well as being a loving mother and homemaker.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thurs., Mar. 2 in the Hazelwood Baptist Church, with visitation there 4-8 pm Wed., Mar. 1. Burial will take place in Clayton cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Janice (David L.) Kennedy- Hazelwood, Calvin E. "Bud" (Connie) Wells Ill -Cody, Wy., Maurice E. (Sandy) Wells -Cuba, In., 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 18 great great grandchildren. Alma was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters.
