Funeral services will be Thursday in the chapel of Christopher-Smith Funeral Home for John Franklin Owens, 58, of Todd Circle, who died Monday in a Macon hospital following a brief illness.
The Rev. Napp Granade officiated. Burial was in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
A native of Keyenta, Ariz., Mr. Owens had lived here for the past 30 years. He was retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base, where he was a general equipment examiner. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in the Korean War, and he was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6605 and the Warner Robins High School Touchdown Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mary S. Owens of Warner Robins; three daughters [named]; one son [named]; one brother, Glenn A. Owens of Topeka; and six grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Georgia Heart Association.
Christopher-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
