Amber was a homemaker and a member of the Roadside Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and riding four-wheelers.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Steely Powers; an uncle, Hobert Robinson; great grandparents, Clark and Laura Mills Bargo, Alford and Elsie Baker Crawford, Luther and Bertha King Powers and William “Sugar Bill” and Julie Mae Cox Wilson.
Survivors include her parents, Denver and Alicia Kay Powers of Barbourville; two children, Jenna Alyse Smith of Barbourville and Dallas Carson Hobie Creekmore of Williamsburg; a brother, Ryan Hobie “Bubby” Powers of Morehead; grandparents, George T. and Genorra Bargo Crawford of Barbourville and Arbutis Wilson Powers; aunts and uncles, Dennis and Teresa Jackson, Bobby and Phyllis Reynolds, Debbie Robinson and Danny and Terry Powers; a host of cousins; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, March 3 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Josh K. Smith and Rev. Ronnie Rose officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Killion Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Bobby Reynolds, Dennis Jackson, Danny Powers, Jason Powers, Donnie Smith and Cody Smith. Honorary bearers will be the staff of the Hope Center, Karen’s Place and Hope in the Mountains Rehab Centers.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Friday prior to the funeral hour.
Expressions of sympathy may go to the Hope Center in Lexington, Karen’s Place in Louisa or Hope in the Mountains in Prestonsburg in her memory.
