He farmed before serving six years in the Army after which he returned to farming.
Bob loved building and making and repairing things from nothing. He led the 4-H Boosters Club over 20 years. He went deer hunting “out west” nearly every year with friends and family. Other than family, his greatest moments were when he was working or hunting.
In 1961 Bob married Connie Boatman and they were blessed with three children. In 1964 they moved to a farm near Herman, NE where he continued to farm until 1991 when he left the farm and moved to the Village of Herman.
He resided there until his death on February 26th. Bob never lost his love of farming or hunting and never tired of talking about farming, hunting or his family whenever he found a willing listener. He never knew a stranger.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Herman American Legion Post #374.
Robert Arnold, age 82 of Herman, died February 26, 2017 at his home in Herman, Nebraska.
