Services will be today for Alberta Mary Bethune, who died Wednesday in Sunnyvale. She was 87. A native of Elizabethtown, Ky., she had previously lived in Santa Cruz for 21 years. She was the wife of the late Irving Bethune, who died in 1969. Mrs. Bethune is survived by her three daughters. Pallie Finchum of Tucson, Ariz., Betty Workman of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Ruth Braniff of San Jose: her sister, Freida Metcalf of West Palm Beach; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Friends may pay their respects at a visitation today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Chapel of the Four Seasons, 1050 Cayuga St. in Santa Cruz. Graveside services will be held at Oakwood Memorial Park at 1 p.m. Monday. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith & Arnold's Chapel of the Four Seasons.
