Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Bill and Violet would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on November 22nd. He was father to Douglas (Susan), Dennis, Sarah, and Michael (Ed) and grandfather to Madelyn and Claire. Bill is also survived by sister, Jean Schlangen (Marion) of Decatur Alabama, and her sons Greg, Mike and Rickey.
Bill was a lifelong resident of East Tennessee, growing up in the Walland area. He was a respected private practice architect and well known in the design and construction community. Bill will be deeply missed by family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 8th at 2 pm at Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 7225 Old Clinton Pike, Powell, Tennessee, with Rev. Dr. Thomas Sweet and Rev. Fran Vickers officiating. A Receiving of Friends Reception will follow.
