Minnie Christine Kendrick Moore, 78, of Axton, VA passed away Friday February 24, 2017 at Danville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Moore was born on August 18, 1938 in Pittsylvania County to the late Edward Hankins and Algie Rigney Hankins. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Moore and her first husband William Kendrick, brothers, John Sam (Poss) Hankins and James Hankins.

Christine retired from American Furniture Company with more than 30 years of service. She lovedgardening and her beautiful flowers, she was a wonderful loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, always lighting up with the mention of her grandchildren.

Surviving is her daughter, Donna Marlowe Jessee of Axton; sons, William Darrell Kendrick of Axton, Garry (Inky) Kendrick and wife Cathy of Axton; sisters Joyce Davis and Judith Roland both of Ridgeway; brothers, Herman Hankins of Callands and Clay Hankins of Axton; grandchildren, Shannon Ford and husband Paul, Garry Kendrick and wife Emily, Kristy Minter and husband Shannon, Tabotha Hall and husband Joe, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a special thank you to Donnie Hankins.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at County Line Christian Church with Dean Ashby officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the church and other times at the home of her son Garry and Cathy Kendrick, 12529 Chatham Road.

The Moore family is being served by Norris Funeral Services and Crematory, Martinsville Chapel.
