Tweed Family History and Lore says that Joshua Tweed was hung by the neck repeatedly by "Bushwhackers" until dead. Neither Confederate nor Union forces have ever been indicated to me.
Family Lore says that he is buried in front of Mollie Wallin.
I believe this Lore to be true as it would put his burial site in very close proximity to the graves of his father and mother.
There is indeed a small rock there but nothing legible is inscribed on it.
