AGE 79 YEARS

A. Charlene Fry, of Lewisburg, formerly of Watsontown, went to her eternal home with Jesus on Thursday, February 23, 2017.

She was the daughter of the late Ezra and Eva (Ruhl) Miller. On June 10, 1961 she married John R. Fry with whom she was blessed to share nearly 28 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on April 26, 1989.

She was a graduate of Hershey High School.

Charlene was a homemaker earlier in life and then worked at the Maranatha Christian School from 1989 to 2008. She enjoyed flowers and gardening and precious times spent with her family and friends.

Surviving are her children: Sylvia Diem and her husband Jesse of McAlisterville; Rose Weaver and her husband Bill of Freeburg; Dorita Gehman and her husband Nelson of Reinholds; and William Fry and his wife Sarah of Marion, Iowa; a sister, Lois Hilsher and husband Richard of Port Trevorton; a brother, Leslie Miller and wife Beverly of Elizabethtown; sixeen grandchildren (one deceased): and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her husband was a grandson, Jared Gehman and a brother, Melvin Miller.

East District Mennonite Church, 71 East District Road, Watsontown where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday with Pastor Tim Stoltzfus officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
