John William Arnott, age 52, died on Thursday, November 20, 2014.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Eastside Baptist Church in Sioux Falls with burial at Hills of Rest Memorial Park in Sioux Falls. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM on Monday at the Church.

John William Arnott was born on December 5, 1961 in Wessington Springs, SD to George Rea and Ruby (Wallace) Arnott. His family lived in Minneapolis Minnesota until making their home on the family farm in Sioux Falls when John was 6 years old. He received his education at Tri-Valley High School where he met Lori Yeigh, the couple were united in marriage on December 23, 1982. From this union the couple was blessed with three sons, John “JD”, Jarrell and Jesse. The family made their home in Sioux Falls and then Crooks, while John was self-employed at G & H Radiator until becoming disabled with R.S.D in 2001. John then made his home with his parents on the family farm.

John had a passion for cars, especially his Ford Bronco. He enjoyed collecting model cars, and antiques. In his younger years John sang in a rock band and was an expert with stereo equipment. He was a skilled craftsman and liked refinishing antique furniture. He also enjoyed watching Star Trek, Superman and western movies. John was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed.

Grateful for having shared his life are his parents, George Sr. and Ruby Arnott, Sioux Falls; three sons, John David “J.D.” Arnott, Statesville, NC, Jarrell William Arnott, Sioux Falls, and Jesse Rueben Arnott, Sioux Falls; four grandchildren, Lyndsi Danielle Myers, Ryder William Arnott, Mathias Troy William Arnott, and Jesse Rueben Arnott Jr.; brother, George Rea Arnott Jr. and his wife, Sara, Sioux Falls; sister, Valerie Ann Avaritt, Murfreesboro, TN; and a host of other relatives and friends.
