Stephen Harris was the husband of B. E. Harris, of Silverstream, New Zealand.

CAUSE OF DEATH
Died from mustard gas poisoning when he was fighting in France

He fought on the Western Front and was part of the first battalion of Canterbury Infantry Regiment. In the December he was overcome with Mustard Gas and taken to Hospital in England in January and died weeks later on 6 February 1918.
