Mrs Larissa Caldwell, wife of Mr George Caldwell, died suddenly last Friday night at her home in South Bluefield. Mrs Caldwell seemed in her usual health until a short time after dark when she complained of feeling very strange. She continued to grow worse so fast that her brother Mr Clinton Bailey hastened off for a doctor, but when he returned with him they found Mrs Caldwell cold in death. She died at 11:30 o'clock, pm. Mrs Caldwell died in her 48th year. She was a daughter of Mr Buren Bailey, who died a few years since. She leaves a husband, one brother, Mr Clinton Bailey, and one sister, Mrs Lillian Martin, to mourn her death. Mrs Caldwell was quite an exemplary lady. She was a consistent member of the Christian church and in all her walks gave evidence of true consecration to her Savior's cause. She never had any children.
The funeral will take place from the family residence this morning at 10 o'clock, Rev Newt Harman officiating. Interment in Walnut Grove cemetery, formerly known as the Bailey burying ground. The sympathies of friends and neighbors go freely to the husband, brother and sister in their sad bereavement.
