Betty Jean Beck, 89, passed away Feb 23, 2011 in Bremerton. The daughter of Bill and Iva Yadon, Betty was born Nov 1, 1922, in Missoula, MT. Betty graduated from Edmonds High School in Edmonds, WA. She married John P. Beck on May 28, 1941 in Richmond Highlands, WA.
Betty loved being a homemaker and mother. She was a Den Mother for Troop 516, was a community activist, and served on the Election Board. She was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, and she enjoyed gardening, razor clamming, fishing, sewing, and camping.
Treasuring Betty's memory are her husband of nearly 70 years, John P. Beck of Bremerton; sons, Edward J. Beck of Bremerton and Fred L. Beck of Tahuya; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
