Melinda Ericka Romlin was born on 25 September 1914 in Trade River, Wisconsin, the first of two daughters born to Eric Sigfried Romlin (1886-1955) and Beda Christina Hallstrom Romlin (1894-1989). She was married to Reuben O. Ristrom (1909-1987) on 10 November 1934 in Dakota County, MN. They had two daughters and three sons. She was widowed in 1987. She died on 17 November 2000 in Stillwater, MN at the age of 86. She was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
