Larry Lee Guy, 66, of Burlington, Kansas, passed away early Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the Life Care Center in Burlington, where he had been for a short time due to his battle with cancer.

Larry was born May 3, 1950, in Yates Center, Kansas, the son of Lewis C. and Ruth Helen (Caven) Guy.

He graduated from Burlington High School in 1968 and was a life-long resident of Burlington.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Korea.

In early years Larry was employed at grain elevators in Burlington. He later worked for a number of years at Huff's Gardens. He then began working as a substitute carrier before becoming a full time rural mail carrier at the Burlington Post Office.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Helen Guy, and his two brothers, Ronnie and Frank Guy.

He leaves his sisters-in-law, Joyce Guy Swift of Matfield Green, KS, and Donita Guy of Boyceville, WI; five nieces and nephews, Leslie Brittain and husband Dwight, Strong City, KS, Barry Guy and wife Heidi, Kristi Radle and husband Tony, Glenn Guy and wife Kim, and Erika Sudbrink and husband David, all of Wisconsin; and many friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Friday, February 24, 2017, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial will follow in Siria Cemetery in Woodson County, KS.
