MR. ALBERT E. BARNETT
Albert E. Barnett, age 91, of Copan, Oklahoma, entered into heaven Tuesday morning, June 26, 2001, at the Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville, OK.
Albert was born April 28, 1910 to Francis and Mattie (Tabler) Barnett in Hewins, KS. He spent most of his childhood and attended schools in the Elgin, KS area. He met and married Alpha Viola Davis on July 17, 1938. To this marriage were born four children. Alpha preceded him in death in October 1974. He married Bea (Deaton) Fairchild on July 3, 1980. She survives at the home. He worked for Reda Pump until his retirement in 1975. He liked fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Bea, one son, Francis Barnett and wife, Wilma, Dewey, OK, one daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Barnett, Copan, OK, one stepdaughter, Jayne Jones, and her husband, Joe, Copan, OK, one stepson, Steve Fairchild and wife, Robin, Midland, TX, two brothers, Atwood Barnett, Ramona, OK and DeWayne Barnett, Sedan, KS, two sisters, Louie White, Sedan, KS and Georgia Garner, Mead, OK, fourteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Sandra Kay Barnett and Carol Jean Wilson, one son, Albert Lee Barnett, four brothers, J. D., Bill, Dallas and LeRoy Barnett, and three sisters, Clara McMillian, Florice Patterson and Edna Bell.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 28, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Copan, OK. Interment followed at Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney, KS.
