Jeanette Nary took a prominent part in social activities, activities of the church and its auxiliaries. For years she was a member of the library board. She was a lady of grace and refinement; a kindly charitable person whose many acdts of gracious thoughtfulness gained her a large circle of friends. She had been deprived of her eyesight for many years, but looked on the bright side of life in spite of the handicap. Her son Tom, who idolized his mother, was her constant companion, caring for her and helped to make up for the loss of her sight by his devotion and care.
She was survived by her son Tom, brother Charles who had made his home for years with his sister, and brother Leonard Douglas of Nay-Tay-Waush, MN. A daughter Jeanette died many years ago. Mr Nary died in 1921.
At age 80 she died suddenly of a heart attack. Services conducted by the Episcopal rector.
