Funeral services for Edna C. Albrecht were held Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at First American Lutheran Church, Tripp, with the Rev. Michael J. Jacobson officiating.

Interment was made in the Gracehill Cemetery, Tripp, with Goglin Funeral Home, Tripp, in charge of arrangements.

Honorary casketbearers were her grandchildren: Steven Albrecht, Stephanie Albrecht, Rebecca Kempe, Pamela Dravland, Danny Frey, Bobbi Jo Frazier, Roger Albrecht, and Linda Roberts.

Casketbearers were Steven Albrecht, Roger Albrecht, Jesse Albrecht, Mark Roberts, Todd Dravland, and Wayne Bietz.

Edna Cecelia (Isaak) Albrecht was born Monday, May 21, 1917, on a farm in Hutchinson County, southwest of Parkston. Her parents were Nathaniel and Rebecca (Winter) Isaak. She was baptized at Hoffnungsburg Congregational Church southwest of Parkston. Her family moved into Parkston where she attended Parkston Public School.

She was united in marriage to John Albrecht on June 9, 1935. They farmed southwest of Parkston until 1968, when they retired and moved into Tripp. She was a longtime member of the American Lutheran Church of Tripp.

She died on Friday, Jan. 19, at the Avera St. Benedict Health Center in Parkston at the age of 89 years, seven months, and 28 days.

She is survived by three sons, Darrell (Donna) Albrecht, Rapid City, Darvin Albrecht, Parkston, and Jerry (Shirley) Albrecht, Parkston; one sister, Delphine Krogh, Kansas City; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Albrecht; daughter, Marlene Frey; son-in-law, Ernest Frey; grandson, Greg Frey; her parents, Nathaniel and Rebecca Isaak; two brothers, Albert Isaak and Roland Isaak; sister, Lenora Kost; and an infant sister, Linda Isaak.
