Epps Rites Will
Be on Sautrday morning at 11 o'clock from Bridges Chapel.

Officiating will be Rev. William S. A. Tyson Jr., pastor of Young Harris Methodist Church, and Dr. J. C. Wilkinson, pastor-meritus of First Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery, Bridges Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Pat Carter, Bobby Kelly, Elmer Hardigree, Eddie Patat, Red Kinnebrew and Lawrence Hancock.

Mr. Epps is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Couch Epps, Athens, son, Harold F. Epps, Houston, Texas; sister, Mrs. Roy Crouch, Bogart; two half-sisters, Mrs. H. D. Couch, Athens, and Mrs. G. W. Evans, Loganville; half brother, Oscar E. Epps, Athens; grandson, Terry Lynn Epps, Houston, and a granddaughter, Mrs. T. E. Padgett, also of Houston, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Epps, 70 died in a local hospital Thursday at 2 a.m. after being in failing health since early in July.

He was a native of Oconee County, Ga., and had lived in Athens for sixty-five years, being a member of Young Harris Methodist Church. An expert auto mechanic, he was connected with Georgia Motors and when that concern closed, he was with Hancock Motors as a Buick specialist. With his cousin, Ben, Mr. Epps built the first airplane in Georgia.
