Plot

The cemetery is very old and in very poor condition. All existing tombstones are in the southwest corner of the fenced area. Rows are calculated as beginning in the center of the cemetery, in line with the John Walterhouse tombstone in row #4. Rows were surveyed in a north to south direction.WILLIAM'S GRAVE SITE I EXPECT IS NEXT TO HIS WIFE. SEE SARAH B. KINSER, DIED IN 1915 AND BURIED IN HENRY'S CHAPEL CEM. she is posted on fag. SHE HAS A TALL HEADSTONE, WHICH LOOKS HARD TO OVERLOOK. on the stone is wife of W. D. KINSER.

WILLIAM, BORN IN BRADLEY CO., TN IS THE SON OF PETER KINSER AND HIS WIFE SARAH O'DENNEL. IN THE 1860 FEDERAL CENSUS HE IS LISTED AS A 7 YEAR OLD AND HAD 3 BROTHERS AND 5 SISTERS. SAMUEL, WILLIAM'S BROTHER, IS MY(RON) GREAT GRANDFATHER

Peter, his wife Sarah and their large family migrated to Texas in 1867, along with thirty-seven wagonloads of Kinsers, most of them from Greene County,TN. Following already established migration routes, Peter chose to settle in Hunt County, in northeastern Texas.
