Private First Class Joseph Earl Jackson was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective Service and a Draftee, PFC Jackson served our country until September 10th, 1970 in Kontum, South Vietnam. He was 21 years old and was not married. It was reported that Joseph died from an friendly explosive device. His body was recovered. Joseph was born on April 6th, 1949 in Parkton, North Carolina. PFC Jackson is on panel 07W, line 053 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C.

He is the Son of Mr Sandy Bivens and Mrs Ola Mae Jackson Bivens, PO Box 214, Parkton, NC.
He was a wonderful individual that loved his family and valued and respected the life and opinions of others. He was an Architectural Engineer that designed buildings prior to being drafted into the Army. He enjoyed drawing and building things,as well as working on sports cars.
