VETERAN OF WORLD WAR II~OBITUARY OF C. DALE DUER

C. Dale DUER, 81, died Saturday, January 20, 2007, at home a few feet from where he was born.

He was born December 26, 1925, to Cecil L. and Elizabeth Presley DUER at the Duer homestead.

He married Ramona WADLEY on August 17, 1947, in Tyrone, Oklahoma. She survives.

He attended school in Hooker, Oklahoma, graduating from Hooker High School with the class of 1944.

He was inducted into the U.S. Army Air Corps December 19, 1943, serving in World War II. He was a farmer.

He was a member of First Baptist Church.

He was a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was a member of the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge. He was a 34 year board member of the Hooker Equity Exchange and sang with the Hooker Barbershop Chapter.

Survivors also include one son, Kerry and wife, Candice, Hooker; two daughters, Dalene DOYLE and husband, Howard, Goodyear, Arizona, and Jenice SHORT and husband, Jim, Hooker; nine grandchildren, Elise MILLETTE and husband, Chad, Patrick DOYLE and wife, Jessica, Margo SHORT, Joslyn KNIGHTON and husband, David, Bryce SHORT and wife, Alanda, Erin Short, Bobby Welch, Case DUER and Lane DUER; seven great-grandchildren, Jacen and Cameron MILLETTE, Mia DOYLE, Eathan, Justice and Dillon KNIGHTON and Madilynn SHORT; one sister, Wynona RAPP, Hooker.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Raymond Lee.
