U.S. Army, World War II veteran; barber, security guard
Louis Ambrosini Jr., 86, of Buena passed away early Thursday morning, Nov. 22, 2007, at the South Jersey Healthcare HospiceCare Inpatient Center in Bridgeton.
Mr. Ambrosini was born and raised in Ardmore, Pa., and had resided in Buena for more than 50 years. Before retiring, Lou was employed as a security guard at Glassboro State College. He had previously been self-employed as a barber for 40 years. He was a longtime member of the Queen of Angels Parish, Buena. Lou was a U.S. Army veteran, who served as a private 1st class with the 259th Infantry 65th Division. He received one service stripe, the American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. Lou enjoyed walking and playing the piano.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alma (DeMaria); one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Richard Amici of Randolph; two grandsons, Christopher and Jesse Amici; granddaughter, Mariette Amici; brother, Harry Ambrosini of Turnersville; as well as the extended DeMaria family.
His funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. today at the Queen of Angels Parish, Church of St. Michael, 504 West Ave. Minotola, where relatives and friends will be received from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Burial will be private in the veterans cemetery.
