Eli Willis Kasper, 68, died at a local hospital Wednesday after an extended illness. Born December 10, 1891, in Modoc County, he had resided in Eureka for the past 12 years. Until his retirement a year ago he had been employed by Holmes Eureka Lumber Company, and had been a member of the Apostolic Faith Church for 36 years.

Surviving are his wife, May of Eureka; sons, Harold, Clarence, Paul, and Floyd Kasper, all of Eureka; daughters, Mrs. Alma Brown and Mrs. Verna Olusfsen, both of Eureka; brother, Fred Kasper of Vernal, Utah; sisters, Mrs. Frances Eades of Anderson, Mrs. Emma Flackus of Redding, Mrs. Alda McKee of Cottonwood, Mrs. Paula Miller of Arbuckle, and Mrs. Amy Earl of Los Angeles. Eighteen grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Cooper mortuary Chapel of the Ferns, the Rev. Martin Girard officiating. Interment will follow at Ocean View Cemetery.
