MRS. NANCY JANE SMITH, 80, of Comanche (Okla.) route 3, died at her home at 2 p.m. Thursday. She had suffered a stroke five days previous. Mrs. Smith, who had lived around the Comanche community since 1903, was born in Collin County, Texas, on January 3, 1870.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Jewel Spencer of Comanche; a son, Will Smith of Temple; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Brookins of Duncan and Mrs. Macy Shelby of Comanche; and a brother, W. T. Briggers (misspelled) of Comanche.
The services will be held at the Church of Christ at 2 p.m. Saturday, with J. U. Bristo, minister, officiating. Burial will be in the Comanche Cemetery, directed by the Boydstun Funeral Home.
