FINAL RITES FOR MRS. CLARA B.P. ANDERSON HELD WEDNESDAY
Final rites for Mrs. Clara Bess Parry Anderson, who died Sunday at 11 a.m. will be held Wednesday, December 3, 1947 in the Hinckley Ward chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Bishop Clark Bishop of Oasis conducting. Funeral director is L.N. Nickle. Mrs. Anderson was born in Salt Lake City on September 23, 1879, a daughter of William Bess and Emma Smith Bess. She was married to Mr. John Gronway Parry on November 16, 1897 and lived in Cedar City and Hinckley. Mr. Parry died November 2, 1941. She then married Peter Anderson, of Oasis in 1945 and has lived in Oasis since then. Surviving are her husband and the following children: Vernon Parry, Hinckley; Mary Belka and Emerson Parry, Salt Lake City; Elva Ivy, Orem; Leona Smith, Calepo, California; Marva Leoroyd and Emma Armstrong, Richmond, California. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, as well as the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. J.C. Smith, Milford; Lawrence and Joseph Bess of Cedar City. Interment will be Thursday in the Cedar City cemetery.
