The community was shocked Monday afternoon when the word was received that Miss Mable Palmatier was very near deaths door with a complication of typhoid fever and acute appendicitis and a few hours later her death was announced. She was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Palmatier, a school girl in her teens and well known in Ord and vicinity. We have been unable to get and [sic] obituary this week. The funeral, we understand, will be held this afternoon and we will be able to print the obituary next week. We are sure the Palmatier family have the heart felt sympathy of everyone in the community in this sad hour.
