Bevenue, Eric Brian, 51, Oklahoma City code enforcement officer, formerly of Tulsa, died Jan. 25 in Lindsay. Service 10 a.m. Saturday, Boydston Funeral Home Chapel, Lindsay.

Eric Brian Bevenue of Lindsay, Oklahoma was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 9, 1961 to Everett Boise Bevenue and Zelda Carroll (Reece) Bevenue. Eric lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma prior to moving to Lindsay. He also spent a number of years in Plymouth, Massachusetts where he married Anne Fernandes, the mother of his two sons.

Eric served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked in law enforcement as a Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Oklahoma City and formerly worked for the Oklahoma City Police Department as a Detention Officer. Eric was a member of the Redfork Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a member of the Creek Tribe, Native American, a blood donor and a member of the PADI (Diving Organization). He enjoyed scuba diving, kite flying, inventions and garage sales, but what he loved most was spending time with his two sons, Eric and Jon. Eric left this world on Friday, January 25, 2013 at his home at the age of 51. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Bevenue is survived by his two sons: Eric Boyce Bevenue and Jonathan Arthur Bevenue, his former spouse, Anne Fernandes and his two sisters: Deborah Lynn Hardison and husband James of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Mary Dunagan and husband Robert of Mcloud, Oklahoma.

Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Zelda Carroll Bevenue, his father, Everett Bevenue, his paternal grandparents, William and Cinda Bevenue of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and his maternal grandparents, Jesse and Ruby Reese of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A memorial service for Mr. Bevenue is set for ten o'clock a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the B.G. Boydston Funeral Home Chapel, located at 308 S.W. 3rd Street in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of B. G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay, Oklahoma.
