L. P. Abernathy died at the Pacific Hotel at 4 o’clock Monday morning, after a brief illness. The deceased was a member of Brick Mason’s Union No. 7 of Monroe, La. The funeral will be held at Holderness & Fitzhugh’s chapel at 10 o’clock this morning. Services by the Rev. Rogers of Ohio Street Baptist Church.
