Shawn was born on September 14, 1970 at Ortonville, MN, the son of Glenda Fredrickson Reupke. He was later adopted by Martin and Audrey (French) Fredrickson, parents of Glenda. He was baptized at First English Lutheran Church at Ortonville and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Odessa, MN. He attended Ortonville High School in Ortonville, MN and later obtained his GED. He later attended college at Minnesota West in Granite Falls, MN where he was active in the student council.
Shawn lived in Odessa for almost all of his life, where he enjoyed the small-town life. Shawn loved animals and spent countless hours with his three dogs and two cats, all of which he took in as rescue or stray animals. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially enjoying the visits with his nephew, Tommy. They spent many hours together, playing video games and riding the Odyssey.
Despite all of life's hurdles, in recent years, Shawn had made progress in bettering himself and his life. He was always willing to help others, even strangers on the street, in any way he could. Shawn will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Shawn is survived by his mother, Audrey Fredrickson; sisters, Brenda and Jennifer; and nephew, Tommy.
