DEATH CLAIMS ROBERT ROGERS
Robert H Rogers, 59, farmer of the Prentiss Community, died at his home Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. He had been seriously ill for ten days.
Mr Rogers was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church. He was an active worker in Republican Party affairs and was a candidate for County Commissioner last fall. He was well known throughout Macon County.

Funeral services were held at Union Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. The Rev. J. B. Tabor, paster, assisted by Rev. Eugene R. Eller, pastor of the FirstBaptist Church in Franklin, had charge of the services. Burial was in the church cemetery.

The deceased is survived by his widow; two sons, Charlie and John Rogers; two daughters, Miss Fannie and Mary Belle Rogers, all of Prentiss; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Nathan Rogers, of Prentiss, and one sister, Mrs. W. R. (Elmira) McConnell, of Scaly, N. C.
