Diving overboard last Thursday afternoon from a little lumber schooner several miles south of Alexandria, to recover a small gasoline tender gone adrift, Sydnor I. Keys, twenty-three years old, of Quantico, became entangled in long sea grass in less than six feet of water, and was drowned.
Young Keys and his father, Capt. C. M. Keys, composed the crew of the lumber boat, which was sailing slowly toward Alexandria.
