Eleanor Benton, 66, of Warren, OH, formerly of Crossville, passed away Feb. 13, 2001. Funeral services were conducted Feb. 17 from Staton Funeral Home in Warren, with burial at Pineview Cemetery. Father Cromley officiated.
Mrs. Benton was born Aug. 4, 1934, in Cumberland County, the daughter of Roy and Ollie Lewis Wilson.
She was a homemaker, and an active member of the Warren and Ashtabula Club of the Deaf.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Benton of Warren; son, Raymond Benton of Houston, TX; daughters, Patty Hivick of Tallmadge, OH, Nancy Cochran of Warren, Carolyn Rinehart of Cortland, OH, and Susan De Alessandro of Oklahoma City, OK; mother, Ollie Wilson of Crossville; sisters, Amy Bolin of Elyria, OH, Uldean Stone of Pikeville, TN, and Mary Tabor of Crossville; brothers, Paul Wilson, Ronnie Wilson, Danny Wilson and Jerry Wilson, all of Crossville; five grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Wilson; and a brother, Elbert Wilson.
Pallbearers were Roy Bolin, Greg Rinehart, Pat De Alessandro, Raymond Benton, Paul Hivick and Toby McKendree.
