JOHN G. EVANS
Funeral services for John G. Evans age 22 of Rentz, who died in a local hospital late yesterday from wounds accidentally inflicted, when a shotgun he had handed his wife went off, were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from Mt. Carmel church, with Rev. C. l. lowery officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Townsend Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr Evans was shot as he, his wife to whom he had been married only two months and his brother, Jack Evans, were hunting opossum Monday near their home. His wife was the former Miss Theonie Bedingfield. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
