Miss Martha Blanton, 87, died Tuesday morning at her Eureka home. Born May 5, 1872 in Rohnerville, she had lived in this vicinity all of her life.
She leaves a sister, Mrs. John Stange of Oakland; nephews, Earl Haley, James Showers, Thomas Look, and Lloyd Showers, all of Eureka, and Fred Look of South Fork; nieces, Mrs. Ruby Vansant, Mrs. Elizabeth Carroll, Mrs. Grace Chesterman, Mrs. Mattie Lanb, and Mrs. Ruth Archibald, all of Eureka, Mrs. Murtyee Campan of Oakland, Mrs. Louise Lorensen and Mrs. Lucille Lorenson, both of Elk River; Mrs. Alice Olsen of Fortuna, and Mrs. Lillian Henderson of Long Beach.
Services have been arranged for Thursday at 2 p.m. at Pierce Mortuary with the Rev. Gregory S. Morony. Concluding rites will follow at Ocean View Cemetery.
