A. Edward "Chuck" Sarno, 79, of Rural Route 2, Cuba died Saturday, Jan. 6, 1996, in the Graham Hospital Extended Care Unit.

Born Oct. 4, 1916, in Sheppton, Pa., to John and Mary Krynock Sarno, he married Florence E. Short on Feb. 7, 1951, in Peoria. She preceded him in death. Surviving are two brothers, Joseph of Arlington, Texas, and George of Hazleton, Pa.; and one sister, Veronica Burke of Westminster, Colo. He was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.

He was a chef at Wee-Ma- Tuk Hills Country Club, Chateau on the Lake in North Pekin and the Creve Coeur Club.

Graveside services will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
