Jon Hawkey was born October 14, 1962, in Sioux Falls, SD, a son of Gary Dean Hawkey and Iris Faye Davidson Hawkey.
He was a US Army veteran, and he enjoyed his work at I Point. Jon liked spending time on the water whether it be boating, fishing, or shrimping. He also enjoyed having a vegetable garden and growing flowers, especially Lilly's. But most of all, he loved his wife and daughter.
Surviving are, his wife, Jennifer Brandel Hawkey; a daughter, Samantha Hawkey of Jacksonville, FL; a son, Jarrett Smith of Tyler, TX; three sisters, Elizabeth Hawkey of Fond Du Lac, WI, and Jenny Thorson and Stephanie Hawkey both of Bowling Green, KY; and three brothers, Scott Hawkey of West Ashley, David Allen Thorson of Milwaukee, WI, and Gordan Hawkey of Sioux Falls.
