McALLEN/RIOS, Texas - Aurora Castellano Gonzalez, 92, entered into eternal rest with our Lord on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at her daughter's residence in McAllen, Texas. Aurora was born on July 10, 1921 in Falfurrias, Texas to Miguel Castellano and Theodora Galindo Castellano.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hector Gonzalez; son-in-law, Gaspar Hinojosa; brother-in-law, Oscar Soliz.
Aurora is survived by her son, Hector (Adelina) Gonzalez Jr. of Pleasantion, Texas; two daughters, Irma Gloria Hinojosa of Edinburg, Texas; Leila (Ernest) Pruneda of McAllen, Texas; one brother, Jesus M. (Josefa) Castellano; two sisters, Aida (Theodoro) Perez and Agueda Soliz; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the Garza Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Garza Funeral Home Chapel in San Diego, Texas with Pastor Gaspar Hinojosa II officiating.
