Betty Lou Gifford, age 81, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, February 11, 2017 at her home. She was born March 21, 1935 in Calhoun Co., WV, a daughter of the late Andy and Mary Knight. On January 9, 1993 she married Paul Gifford who preceded her in death on August 6, 1997. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Donna Husk; one grandson, Samuel Griffin; one great grandson, Corey Armentrout and several brothers and sisters. Surviving are three daughters, Gertrude Freeman and husband Dennis, Bessie Henneman and husband Paul and Rosetta Griffin and husband Daniel all of Buckhannon; three sons, Donal and Ronald Husk both of OH and John Husk of Buckhannon; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Tiny Gardner of Morgantown, WV and one brother, Bob Knight of OH. Mrs. Gifford was a homemaker and a member of The Way of Holiness Church in Buckhannon. Friends will be received Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 12 Noon to 2 PM at The Way of Holiness Church. A funeral service will follow at 2 PM at the church with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV.
