Sharon Whitney Boschert, 78, of Hortense, died Thursday, February 9, 2017, at her daughter’s residence and under the care of Community Hospice of Florida. The Michigan native lived in Wayne County for over 30 years and in later years, Brantley County. She was an avid bowler and a member of a Brunswick bowling team. She was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Ted Boschert; brother, Delbert Whitney.

Survivors are her daughters, Dawn (Doug) Piel of Richmond Hill, Holly (Gary) Daniels of MacClenny, Florida, Candace (Darrell Bowen) Mayhall of Medart, Florida, Adina (Jeff Dart) Tyre of Odum; sons, Jeffrey (Dottie Boyette) Mendelsohn of St. George, Dorian “Butch” (Renee Swords) Mendelsohn of Blackshear, Darwin (Stephanie Ratliff) Mendelsohn of Savannah; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; brother, Bill Whitney of Columbus, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 13, 2017, at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Odum City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Charlie Tyre, T. J. Mayhall, Tim Daniels, Jeff Mendelsohn, Darrell Bowen, Garrett and Hunter Thomas, Butch and Darwin Mendelsohn.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to service at the funeral home.
