GEORGE T. FOWLER DIED THIS MORNING--George T. Fowler, of 419 West Third, a carpenter for the Koenig planing mill 15 years died early this morning. Funeral services will be held in the Christian church and they will be delayed until Wednesday to allow time for a son to arrive from Seattle, Washington.
Mr. Fowler was born in Brooklyn, New York September 16, 1854 making him 65 years old. He had lived in Chanute 21 years. Three weeks before his death he returned from a trip to his old home in the East, the first time he had been there in 30 years. He was gone 2 months and enjoyed his visit very much.
He is survived by 8 children, 4 sons and 4 daughters. One daughter, Miss Alta Fowler, and a son, Don Fowler, are of the home address. The other daughters are Mrs. M. C. Taylor of 508 North Evergreen, Mrs. H. H. McClure of 519 west third and Mrs. F. J. Nettleton of Lawrence, KS. The other sons are H. A. Fowler of Idaho Falls, Paul Fowler of Portland, and Ralph W. Fowler has been here since Wednesday because of his father's illness. Interment will be made in Elmwood beside the body of Mrs. Fowler, who died more than 10 years ago.
