"BREVITIES - Funeral services over the remains of Mrs Susan C Batchelder were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence of her son, W S Batchelder, East Central avenue. Lyman C Howe, of Fredonia, NY, officiated and a choir consisting of Miss Susie B Hayes and the Messrs A T Schreck and A R Akin sang several selections. The burial followed in Woodlawn cemetery and was private. The pall bearers were M R Rouse, J W Downer, F H Aldrich and C E Giffin. J E Rowe, of Pittsburg[h], and C E Batchelder, of Bradford, attended the obsequies."

According to "North America, Family Histories" Susan's husband, Emerson C Batchelder, was born April 5, 1813, in Bath, ME.
