William W. Bird, 88, of 935 John Fitch Highway died Monday in his home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Margaret (Pence) Bird; a son, William W. Bird of Sterling; a daughter, Beverly S. Miller of Stone Mountain, Ga.; two sisters, Ken Holtzman and Mary Rinker, both of Mount Jackson, Va.; and three grandchildren.
He was born in Mount Jackson, son of Preston M.S. and Cora (Neff) Bird, and lived all his life in the Mount Jackson and Harrisonburg area in Virginia before moving here in 1990.
Mr. Bird had been an automobile and insurance salesman in Virginia for many years before he retired.
Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
