Mike Alden Blankenship, age 82, of Jenkins, MO, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at his home.

He was born April 8, 1934 at Jenkins, MO the son of William Henry “Bunk” and Chloe {Hudson} Blankenship. On October 3, 1953 he was united in marriage to Juanita Turpin, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Tim Blankenship and his wife Madge and Steven Blankenship and his wife Deanna all of Jenkins, MO; three daughters, Jane Howe and her husband Allen of Exeter, MO, Judy Eaton and her husband David of Jenkins, MO and Jill Blankenship of Jenkins, MO; one sister, Bonnie Ragain of Jenkins, MO; fourteen grandchildren and thirty-four great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Duane Blankenship and one sister, June Stumpff.

Mike was a 1952 graduate of Cassville High School. His entire life was spent in the Jenkins area, where he was a dairy farmer and did carpentry work. He attended real estate school and for a few years was employed at Wells Aluminum. He was a member of Shiloah Baptist Church and was a church Deacon. For many years he belonged to Gideon’s and for sixteen years he was a member of the Jenkins School Board.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, MO. Burial will be in Clio Cemetery at Jenkins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Contributions may be made to Shiloah Baptist Church or Gideon’s in memory of Mike.
