Louie and Helen were married forty-four years until his death on May 16, 1978, in Hillcrest Hospital, Waco, at age 61.They made their home in Hillsboro, Hill County, and in Waco, where he was Manager of the Automotive Department at Sears, Roebuck and Company. Louie and Helen had four children: Earl Wayne, their first child who died in infancy, Helen Louise, Patsy Janene and Gary Lynn.
Louie was a World War II Navy Veteran.
